EDEN 2015 Exercise

On April 13-15th, 2015, by Tarnobrzeskie Lake and on the terrain of Siarkopol Chemical Factories, there was held Regional Fire Service Exercise. The main aim of the exercise was to examine the quality of cooperation between fire-fighting units and other organizations in case of  CBRN threats (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) and crisis events demanding specialized chemical-ecological or search and rescue emergency.

Three demonstrated scenarios (Field Initial Exercise) were developed within EDEN Project (End-user driven DEmo for cbrNe) which is realized by The Main School of Fire Service, Space Research Centre of Polish Academy of Sciences and Astri Polska. Field Initial Exercise was organized by Astri Polska and Crisis Information Centre SRC took part in the exercise as a member of EDEN consortium supporting activities of strategic staff. During Field Initial Exercise, there were tested hi-tech tools created in EDEN Project and dedicated to crisis management in case of CBRN threats.
